UNT - In defend of Dr. Lam Akol, according to his biography “Formerly a chemical engineering lecturer at the University of Khartoum, with a Ph.D. from the University of London, Dr. Lam Akol joined the SPLA in 1986. In 1991 he joined Dr. Riek Machar and Gordon Kong to break from the SPLA and form the SPLA-Nasir.” This is a little we known about Dr. Lam Akol Ajawin
Welcome to Republic of South Sudan, the land of opportunities where many young graduates from SPLM-Desperate abroad and Juba always hands their résumés over to GOSS base on Dr. Lam Akol Ajawin’s biography. By defining who Dr Lam Akol is, how much he betraying South Sudan and how bad the man is? Some went far by cursing the man and wanted him for crime he did not committed, we saw this kind of movies throughout the years from non intellectuals in Juba who are nothing but fear for him. The criticism, descriptions and how much they know about him are over shadowing by all walk of life of SPLM-Desperate
Well fair enough, some might consider this as a free speech which is little known in Juba while the SPLM-Diasporas – SPLM-Desperate along with their comrades in Juba are fueling the media about who is Dr. Lam Akol is? However, denies any wrong doing by their comrades in Juba who their leader Gen. Kirr Mayardit declared as “thieves” stolen $4 billions South Sudanese resources, I did not make this up, does this sound familiar to you and your friends, if so is this is how are we going to run our dear country?
To the point, I couldn’t disagree more with these opportunists, the so call SPLM-Diasporas-SPLM Desperate or their comrades in Juba who are nothing but failed to recognize that every man has created by God and have every right to live and exercise their constitutional right. What we know these days is that when one man failed especially those in South Sudan in Juba government and SPLM- Diasporas that man will only wanted every one to fails like them. As such, they turn their hearts and souls on criticism of Dr. Lam Akol but what they have forgotten is fact that Dr. Lam Akol is already ahead of them and done so much most of who will not reach.
You hear them every day talking about ways forward but in their action they are going backward. Whether the so called Luk Kuth Dak who call Dr Lam Akol to shut up or his likes, they fails to bring South Sudanese together by talking about current issues and the current government. All they know is Dr Lam Akol and their chronic disease in their mind that makes them blinds. What happened to $4 billions dollars, what is the real reason behind rebellions by South Sudanese rebels and what can we do to heal the wounds and bitterness during the wars such as 1991 breakaway? And what happened to those heroes who were brutally killed by Dr. John Garang such as Samuel Gai Tut. Instead, the so-called SPLM-Diasporas are turn to SPLM-Desperate and SPLM-Division. It appears that some of whom rely on the hear say and Internet but come out strongly condemning the same person routinely. I am wondering why? And or how many positions has been guarantee to people who criticizes Dr Lam Akol?
According to his biography “In the late 1960s, President Kiir joined the Anyanya in the First Sudanese Civil War by the time of the 1972 Addis Ababa Agreement, he was a low-ranking officer.[1] In 1983, when John Garang joined an army mutiny he had been sent to put down, Kiir and other Southern leaders joined the rebel Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) in the second civil war.” A little known about him but his supporters are so blinds and desperate by trying to mislead the people of South Sudan with openly wide rage issues.
Overwhelmingly, the SPLM-Desperate has nothing in mind but blaming and critiquing wrong people and offer little, while their leaders in Juba are destroying the country. Well who is poisonous to the current situation in South Sudan? Rebels or Thieves who stolen $4 billions worth resources? Some also went far by calling their opponents “poisonous” and better “than the word Anya Nya itself” but I am wondering about the connection and if the writer actually understand the concept of word Anya Nya? In that circumstance one may wonder as to why so many have these desperate groups’ resume has to go through that way?
We know that nothing new in Juba but those who pertain to know should value their education, play good politic and by showing the people of South Sudan what they know and how they can deliver it instead of recruiting themselves as a mobs and desperate groups. If it is true though that President Kirr admitted that corruptions and failure does exist in Juba then why these people aren’t talking about it? All they do is singing the name of Dr Lam Akol through out South Sudan news media and like teaching the Monkey who only know the letter A on their head
To you many readers, I hope we all share the same values and respect our dear country and ourselves. I hope that we need each other and Dr Lam Akol is not our problem as we speak and also enough is enough
